40s Curl Waves in Hot Fashion
One of the hot hairstyle for 2009 is definitely the 1940’s waves. This style has always been one of my favorites. The 1940’s waves scream elegance and sex appeal at the same time. This fall this sculpted wave style is going to be everywhere, as was seen in the fall runway shows. Designers such as Gucci, Valentino, and Roberto Cavalli hosted this beautiful array of curls.
Steps on How to Achieve this 1940′s Wave Curls Hairdo
This style is very easy to achieve and looks good on medium to longer length hair. The key thing to remember when getting this look is, the smaller the curling iron you use the tighter the curls will be. Also, you are always going to want to section your hair off into parts that way you do not miss any pieces. If you take vertical sections it will hide the sections more and give you a more blended look.
This 1940′s hairstyle (a comback in 2009 fashion) can also be achieved with hot rollers and the same rules apply for these as they do for the curling iron. When I am trying to achieve this look I personally like to use a big barrel curling iron and if you can use a spring-less iron I have found that they do not leave curling iron marks as bad as a spring iron; however they are a lot harder to use on your own hair. So be careful! I have burnt myself numerous times with a spring-less iron. But I am also kind-of accident prone, so you may be fine. Which everyway you go about achieving this look, one thing is for sure, you will look hot!
